- WIDYA NOVIANTY. The Use of Fermented Cassava Leaves as Feed Ingredient of Catfish (Clarias sp.) (Supervised by MOHAMAD AMIN and YULISMAN). Feed is one important factors in fish farming activities. One of the alternative feed ingredients which could be used as other ingredients is cassava leaves. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of fermented cassava leaves flour as feed ingredients to survival rate, growth, feed consumption, and feed efficiency of catfish. The research was conducted on May until August 2017 at Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Departement of Aquaculture, Faculty Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was arranged in a completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. Feed by fermented cassava leaves as much 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The parameters of this research were growth, survival rate, feed efficiency, feed consumption and water quality. The result showed that use of fermented cassava leaves flour of 15% in P3 treatment gave the highest value on growth of absolute weight 2.74 g and growth of absolute length 1.89 cm which significantly different to all treatments. The highest feed efficiency in treatment P3 was 38.95% which was significantly different with all treatments. The survival rate and feed consumption were not significantly different between treatments. The water quality of research were optimum for the maintenance of catfish. The temperature during the study ranged from 26.0-29.9oC, pH 6.5-7.3, dissolved oxygen 3.33-6.89 mg.L-1 and amonia 0.002-0.019 mg.L-1.
