Daftar Isi:
- Siamese Patin (Pangasius hypopthalmus) is an important fish in aquaculture or Aquaculture, this is known from the decision of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) which sets catfish as one of the fisheries commodities in the acceleration program of industrialization of the type of aquaculture commodity. But in cultivation, the price of commercial feed which has a relatively high price is a challenge for farmers. So the use of additional feed is very necessary to reduce the cost of cultivation. One type of additional feed that can be used is Meat Bone Meal and shrimp head flour because it has a protein value that is almost the same as commercial feed. The research method used was an experimental method with the aim of testing the effectiveness of feeding material Meat Bone Meal (MBM) and shrimp head flour against protein retention and fat retention of Siamese Patin (Pangasius hypopthalmus) which was conducted on July 1 - July 31, 2019 in the Laboratory Fisheries of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research design used is a complete random design because in this experiment only uses one factor or also called a single factor so that the experimental material is homogeneous. There were three treatments in this study, namely P1 (100% commercial feed), P2 (70% commercial feed + 30% Meat Bone Meal), and P3 (70% commercial feed + shrimp head flour 30%). The results showed that the provision of feed ingredients for meat bone meal and shrimp head flour on protein retention in Siamese Patin fish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) had a significant or significant effect with the highest protein retention value being in the P2 treatment with a composition of 70% commercial feed and 30% meat meal and is significantly different from P1 treatment in the form of 100% commercial feed. Furthermore, the provision of feed ingredients for meat bone meal and shrimp head flour on fat retention in Siamese Patin fish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) did not have a significant or insignificant effect between treatments. The conclusion obtained is that the best composition in protein retention in Siamese Patin fish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) is with 70% commercial feed and 30% meat meal meal.
