Daftar Isi:
- The earth is increasingly experiencing a fuel crisis. Natural Resources producing petroleum fuels and gas is decreasing due to massive exploitation without considering the impact that will occur. Natural Resources producing petroleum fuels and gas will be depleted because they cannot be renewed. The scarcity of fuel oil, which is caused by a significant increase in world oil prices, has prompted the government to invite the community to address the energy problem together. Efforts to reduce the impact of the energy crisis can be done through several things. One of them is by using garbage. Therefore, we try to use waste from banana peels to be used as an alternative to fuels in the form of banana skin briquettes. So far, banana peel waste is only underestimated and has not been used maximally. In making briquettes we use wood dust waste, where wood sawdust is a material that can bind energy, therefore the energy release chain is extended by utilizing wood dust as a material for making banana skin briquettes. The results of the analysis of dried raw material of kepok banana peel waste, ambon banana peel and sawdust had the highest moisture content of raw materials used which were owned by P9 5.17% treatment, while the lowest yield of water content was owned by P1 4.12% treatment. High water content makes it difficult to ignite so that the briquette is difficult to burn. Wood dust absorbs high enough water. the lowest ash content in this study was 3.15% obtained in treatment P9, while the highest ash content was 7.39% which was produced in treatment P1. In accordance with the composition of ash content has met the Indonesian national standard (SNI)
