THE USE COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION (A True Experimental Study At The Seventh Grades Students Of MTsN 1 Jepara In The Academic Year 2018/2019)

- This study is directed to examine the use of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to improve students’ reading comprehension at the 7thgrade of MTsN 1 Jepara in Academic Year 2018/ 2019. The researcher used Experimental – quantitative method during the research.Based on the analysis that has been done, the experimental group was higher to improve students’ reading comprehension than the control group. It can be seen from the mean score of experimental group higher than control group. The mean of pretest in experimental group was 78,27became 93,73 in posttest. Meanwhile, the mean score of control group was 73,87 became 92 in posttest. In other side, the t0 of pretest in experimental and control groups was 1,007 and to value of posttest in experimental and control group were 3,090 while tTable was 2,000. It meant that t0 higher than tTable in posttest of experimental and control group only. So, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. So, there was an effectiveness of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method to improve students’ reading comprehension at the seventh grades students of Mts Negeri 1 Jepara in the academic year of 2018/2019.
