  • The purpose of this study was to know the effect of giving multiprobio as feed additive to pH digestive tracts (proventriculus, ventriculus, small intestine, and large intestine) broiler chicken. The research has been done on May, 4th 2013-June, 2th 2013 at Animal Experimentation Cages, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University Airlangga. Twenty DOC (Day Old Chick) of broiler chicken were treated until 35 day old. These animals were divided into four groups (P0, P1, P2, and P3). P0 as control were treated with water without multiprobio, P1 were treated with water and multiprobio 0.5 ml/liter/water, P2 were treated with water and multiprobio 1 ml/liter/water, and P3 were treated water and multiprobio 1.5 ml/liter/water. This research has been conducted for 28 days to determine the effects of multiprobio on the digestive tracts (proventriculus, ventriculus, small intestine, and large intestine). The data were compared using Anova test and Duncan’s Multiple Range test. Statistical comparisons were performed using SPSS v20.0 for windows. The result showed that multiprobio significantly can decrease pH of proventriculus (p<0.05) and ventriculus (p<0.05), however in small intestine and large intestine pH was decrease but the result did not significantly (p>0,05).
