PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG BIJI LAMTORO (LEUCAENA LEUCOCEPHALA)SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKU PAKAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN IKAN LELE DUMBO (CLARIAS GARIEPINUS)

- Feed is the main component that supports for fish growth. One of nutririon in feed needed by catfish to support growth is protein. Food composition as a source of protein is generally have expensive price. One alternative to solve this is utilize other feed ingredients, like white leadtree seeds. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using white leadtree seed meal (Leucaena leucocephala) as feed ingredient to growth of catfish (Clarias gariepinus). This research using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consist of 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely P0 (0% leucaena in feed formulation), P1 (5% leucaena in feed formulation), P2 (10% leucaena in feed formulation), P3 (15% leucaena in feed formulation), and P4 (20% leucaena in feed formulation). Parameters of this research are growth, survival rate, feed consumption, feed convertion ratio and water quality. The result showed that P2 (10% leucaena in feed formulation) was the best treatment for increasing absolute weight growth 3.84 g, absolute length growth 3.67 cm, survival rate 100%, feed consumption 2.37 g/fish, and feed convertion ratio 1.03. Water quality parameters at the time of the study with temperature range of 26.6 - 31.1 0C, pH 5.9 - 7.6, dissolved oxygen 3.5 - 5.4 mg/L and ammonia 0.04 - 0.20 mg/L.
