PROFIL KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING, PRODUKSI GAS, KONSENTRASI METANA DAN KONSENTRASI SCFA PADA TIGA KELOMPOK HIJAUAN PAKAN TERNAK DAN SILASENYA
Daftar Isi:
- The aimed of this experiment to study the dry matter digestibility profile, gas production, SCFA concentration and methane concentrations in vitro in the three forage groups of animal feed and silage. This experiment was conducted from March to April 2017 at Feeding Nutrition Laboratory of Animal Science Department Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Ciawi Bogor Livestock Research Center and Central Pati Agriculture Research Center of Central Java. The method that used in this experiment was an independent method of T-student consist of 2 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment consists of forage type (napier grass, sorghum straw and palm stem) and processed silage (silage of elephant grass, silk straw silage and palm stem silage). The observed variables were dry matter digestibility, gas production, SCFA concentration and methane concentration. The results showed that forage processing of animal feed affects dry matter digestibility value, gas production, total SCFA and decrease methane gas production in elephant grass, sorghum straw and palm fronds maximum 36,23%.
