  • This research was conducted in PPLH (Center for Environmental Research) Sriwijaya University, from May 2016 until September 2016. The objective of this research was to determine the minimum nutrient solution thickness on some gutters slope of Nutrient Film Technique(NFT) hydroponic system on Pakchoi (Brassica rapaL.) crop. The method of this research was Split Plot Design with two treatment factors, namely the slope of the gutter as the main plot consisted of 2% and 4% and nutrient solution flow thick as a subplot consisting of 3 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm. The parameters measured were the flow rate of water and dissolved oxygen with cover crops indicator plant height, number of leaves, fresh matter weight, dry matter weight, and root dry weight. The results showed that treatment gutters slope of 4% and 3 mm thick nutrient solution significantly affect the flow of water which was 0.23 l / min, dissolved oxygen of 8.91 mg / L, plant height of 12.83 cm, the number of leaves of 12 strands, the fresh matter weight of 48.33 g/netpot, dry matter weight of 4 g/netpot, and root dry weight of0.617 g.
