- Betel leaf is one of plant that can be used to treat diseases Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) which attack catfish (Clarias gariepinus).This study aims to determine the effect of betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) which is sprayed into commercial feed to treat Aeromonas hydrophila infection in catfish. The method used in this study is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using six treatments and two replications, the treatment given is a different dose of betel leaf extract consisting of : 0, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85 ml of betel leaf extract /100 g feed. This research was conducted from October - November 2018 at Laboratorium Kolam Percobaan of Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agicultural, Sriwijaya University. The results of this study showed that treatment P5 (85 ml of betel leaf extract / 100 g of feed) showed a decrease in leukocytes fastest, low number of dead fish, short periode time of death, the percentage of cured fish is 97.50%, survival is 97.50%, growth in length is 2.39 cm, and absolute weight is 6.79 g.
