The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of addition propionic acid in the diets to feed intake, daily weight gain, and feed conversion of broiler chicken. The research was conducted on PT. Satwa Utama Integrasi broiler farm, from July to August 2017. One hundred and eighty Cobb strain day old chicks of broiler were kept into colonial cages. Completely randomized design was used in this experiment, with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment diets contained propionic acid: P0 = control (0%); P1 = addition with 0,5% propionic acid; P2 = addition with 0,75% propionic acid. The parameters observed were feed intake, daily weight gain, and feed conversion. The results showed that addition propionic acid significantly (P<0.05) to feed intake, daily weight gain, and feed conversion. The conclusion of this research that the addition of propionic acid 0,5% in the diets increased the performance of broiler chicken.
