- Data describes the various microorganisms in fresh and spoilt paint samples through culture-based analysis using nutrient agar and centrimide agar. Secondly, it describes a richer diversity of microorganisms in the spoilt paint samples through metagenomic analysis. It further describes the variation in the chemical components of the two type of samples using GC-MS
