The writer took two classes at the school as population which&#xD; consisted of 28 students. Then, all of the populations were taken as sample. Each&#xD; of the classes named control class and experimental class. The variables involved&#xD; in this research were the use of paired writing method as x variable and writing&#xD; ability as y variable.&#xD; The type of the research used was quasi-experimental research. The writer&#xD; took pretest-post-test non-equivalent group design. The technique of collecting&#xD; data was test. The test was used to know the students&#x2019; writing ability. The first&#xD; step was done by giving pre-test to both of classes. Then the writer gave treatment&#xD; to experimental class for 6 meetings, while the control class was given the&#xD; conventional technique. In the next step, the writer gave post-test to both of&#xD; classes.&#xD; Based on data analysis, the writer found that to is 8.061, higher than ttable&#xD; 2.06 in significant level of 5% and 2.78 in 1%, 2.06&lt;8.061&gt;2.78. So, it can be&#xD; concluded that Ha accepted, Ho rejected.
