Komunikasi merupakan proses penting dalam segala proses kehidupan. Salah satu
jenis komunikasi yang frekuensi terjadinya cukup tinggi adalah komunikasi interpersonal
atau komunikasi antarpribadi. Komunikasi interpersonal antara guru dan siswa didalam
proses belajar mengajar merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam menciptakan
suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, sehingga menimbulkan motivasi belajar pada siswa
dan guru merasakan kenyamanan dalam mengajar. Komunikasi interpersonal guru
memberikan penjelasan tentang apa yang harus dilakukan siswa dan seberapa baik siswa
tersebut melakukan apa yang menjadi tugas dan tanggung jawabnya. Prestasi akademik
siswa dapat optimal jika dibangun dengan komunikasi yang baik.
Terdapat 5 sikap yang harus dipertimbangkan ketika seseorang merencanakan
komunikasi interpersonal diantaranya keterbukaan, empati, sikap mendukung, sikap
positif, dan kesetaraan sedangkan untuk motivasi belajar terdapat 4 aspek diantaranya
keinginan untuk memahami dan menguasai apa yang dipelajari, komitmen akan tugas dan
kewajiban belajar, inisiatif untuk belajar, dan optimis akan hasil belajar.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan
memperoleh data dengan metode survey pada siswa kelas XII SMAN 2 Tambun Selatan
Bekasi. Dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data secara primer yaitu menyebarkan kuesioner
kepada responden sebanyak 100 dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling.
Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal
mempunyai pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, komunikasi interpersonal juga
mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa semakin baik
komunikasi antara siswa dan guru maupun siswa dan siswa lainnya maka motivasi belajar
siswa juga semakin meningkat.
Kata Kunci : komunikasi interpersonal, motivasi belajar.

ABSTRACT
Communication is an important process in whole life process. One kind about
communication that have biggest frequency is interpersonal communication. Interpersonal
communication between Teacher and student in the learning process is an important factor to
make a fun learning process so that make motivation for student and teacher feel comfortable to
learn. interpersonal communication with Teacher to give explain about what student must do and
how student can do with their task and responsibility. Academic achievement will be optimum if
build by a good communication.
There are five attitude that should be considered if someone to make plan about
interpersonal communication practice by communication opens, empathy, supporting, positive
thinking and equality beside for student motivation there are four aspect such as desire to
understand and in command what have learn, have commitment about task and study, have learn
initiative, optimist about the result.
The method that used in this research is quantitative that got the data from survey method of
student of grade 12 SMAN 2 Tambun Selatan Bekasi. Researcher collecting the data on the
primary by spread the questioner to 100 respondent that use with simple random sampling
technique.
Based on the result of research shows that interpersonal communication have influence on
student motivation, communication interpersonal also have a significant relation to student
motivation, the more a good communication between student and teacher or student with other
student then student motivation will be increased.

ABSTRAK
Komunikasi merupakan proses penting dalam segala proses kehidupan. Salah satu
jenis komunikasi yang frekuensi terjadinya cukup tinggi adalah komunikasi interpersonal
atau komunikasi antarpribadi. Komunikasi interpersonal antara guru dan siswa didalam
proses belajar mengajar merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam menciptakan
suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, sehingga menimbulkan motivasi belajar pada siswa
dan guru merasakan kenyamanan dalam mengajar. Komunikasi interpersonal guru
memberikan penjelasan tentang apa yang harus dilakukan siswa dan seberapa baik siswa
