and public places. The tendency of people to choose furniture, especially for living quarters, is
still based on the place where the furniture will be placed or they buy furniture just to fill the
empty space in their residence. Whereas the currently built dwellings are relatively small in
size and make them unable to put all the furniture into their homes. In fact, people's needs for
furniture must still be fulfilled. A lot of furniture has been made to overcome this problem,
but most of them only combine the typology of furniture so that it is not optimal to overcome
this small space problem. To make furniture that can be used for mothers and children can
use the approach to activity and human behavior towards furniture which is then considered
with the theory of flexibility and hybrid concepts, ergonomics and anthropometry of the
human body. The results of the creation of this work are in the form of furniture that
accommodates urgent problems such as eating activities for mothers and children without
additional expenses. In addition, this furniture also features parts that can support the
comfort of mother and child. With the unity of different age users into one furniture, the users
can save space and budget.

Furniture merupakan perlengkapan yang digunakan penghuni untuk mendukung aktivitas
sehari‐hari baik di tempat tinggal, tempat kerja maupun tempat umum. Kecenderungan
masyarakat dalam memilih furniture, terutama untuk di tempat tinggal, masih berdasarkan
tempat dimana furniture tersebut nantinya akan diletakkan atau mereka membeli furniture
hanya untuk mengisi ruang kosong ditempat tinggalnya. Sedangkan tempat tinggal yang
dibangun sekarang ini memiliki ukuran yang relatif kecil dan membuat mereka tidak dapat
memasukkan semua furniture ke dalam tempat tinggalnya. Padahal, kebutuhan masyarakat
akan furniture tetap harus terpenuhi. Sudah banyak furniture yang dibuat untuk mengatasi
permasalahan ini, tetapi kebanyakan hanya menggabungkan tipologi furniturenya saja
sehingga kurang maksimal untuk mengatasi permasalahan small space ini. Untuk membuat
furniture yang dapat digunakan untuk ibu dan anak dapat menggunakan pendekatan aktivitas
dan perilaku manusi aterhadap furniture yang kemudian dipertimbangkan dengan teori
konsep fleksibilitas dan hybrid, ergonomi dan antropometri tubuh manusia. Hasil dari
penciptaan karya ini berupa furniture yang menampung masalah yang mendesak seperti
aktivitas makan untuk ibu dan anak tanpa pengeluaran biaya tambahan. Selain itu, furniture
ini juga dilengkapi bagian‐bagian yang dapat mendukung kenyamanan ibu dan anak. Dengan
adanya kesatuan pengguna yang berbeda usia kedalam satu furniture, maka penggunanya
dapat menghemat ruang dan budget.
