  • The difficulty of writing for beginners might be influenced by the fact that the teacher do not provide creative strategy for the learning activity in the classroom. Commonly for teenagers as second language learners, they need an interesting, good and attractive strategy especially in doing writing activity in classroom. When students are asked to write a hortatory exposition text, they commonly face some problems. Especially, when teacher asks them to write a hortatory exposition text, they might know what they want to write but they cannot organize their ideas logically. In addition, they are not interested in the teacher’s method that was used in classroom. Besides, they are not active in the classroom. They might find it difficult to determine a topic that they want to discuss. Hence, mapping the ideas into a simple pattern could be a good way for them. Therefore, fishbone strategy is appropriate to be applied when the students are trying to write a hortatory exposition text.
