The subjects of this study are students of class VII-2 with a total of 36 students. The ability to memorize in cycle I reaches an average value of 73.14. In cycle II average reach 85.14. The ability to memorize in cycle I to reach mastery learning classical equal to 73,61% after cycle II, completeness learn classical reach 89,43%.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Swasta Pembda 2 Gunungsitoli, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penggunaan model pembelajaran Mnemonik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal siswa pada materi Kedaulatan Rakyat di kelas VII-2 SMP Swasta Pembda 2 Gunungsitoli. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-2 dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang. Kemampuan menghafal pada siklus I mencapai nilai rata-rata 73,14. Pada siklus II rata-rata mencapai 85,14. Kemampuan menghafal pada siklus I mencapai ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 73,61% setelah siklus II, ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 89,43%.
