- The research “The Influence of Understanding of Islamic Working Ethos to Working-Orientation Moslem traders Prabumulih City South Sumatra”, focused on (1) how big is the influence of understanding of Islamic working motivation to working-orientation Moslem traders Prabumulih City; (2) how big is the influence of understanding of Islamic working culture to working-orientation Moslem traders Prabumulih City; (3) how big is the influence of understanding of Islamic Ihsan-working to working-orientation Moslem traders Prabumulih City ;and (4) how big is the influence of understanding of the efficiency in arrangement of earnings according to Islam to working-orientation Moslem traders Prabumulih City. Marketing sector is one of principle sectors in improving Prabumulih income. The high contribution which is given in marketing sector be caused the high productivity by traders. The high productivity caused the traders have good working ethos. But, the problem is “what their working spirit is only for seek a living, only to improve social status, or as act of devotion which is commanded by religion. The theory which is used in this research is Value-Orientation from C. Kluckhon. (Keywords: The Islamic Working Ethos, the Moslem Traders, and Working-Orientation)
