The teacher should select the technique that suitable with the condition. Students` perception on native speaker teaching techniques can influence the success of teaching and learning process. &#xD; Perception of the students can be divided into positive and negative perception. In this research, the researcher used survey as the research design to get the information about &#xD; students` perception on teaching techniques used by English department native speaker. The subjects of this research were one native speaker who taught speaking I subject and 37 students of speaking class. The instruments to collect the data were structured interview and close&#xAD;ended &#xD; questionnaires. The result of this research showed that native speaker used several techniques, they are: &#xD; Repeating, discussion, and also Competition techniques. Students gave positive perception on linguistic and non&#xAD;linguistic aspect of native speaker&#x2019;s teaching techniques. The students perceived that native speaker&#x2019;s teaching techniques could make them easy to understand the &#xD; materials, make their grammar better, added their new vocabularies, correcting their accent, make their pronunciations better.
