  • In the learning of Senior High School level, especially Biology learning in 11th Grade, it is mentioned that Basic Competence of Curriculum 2013 is “4.3 Presenting data about tissue anatomical structure of plants based on observation results in order to show the understanding of relationship between tissue structure and function of plants toward biological process occurred to the plants. However, in fact, some biology books for Senior High School 11th Grade only discuss and present about definition and function, without explain about relationship between the structure and function. Besides that, without supporting pictures or animation, then biology wallchart for Senior High School 11th Grade is less complete in discussion. In the limitation of material and picture sources for biology learning Senior High School 11th Grade, the development of teacher creativity in teaching becomes one of important factors for the teaching and learning activities. Rhis research aims to know leaf trichome type of poaceae family through simple preparation and SEM method. This research conducted in two phases. Phase I is qualitative descriptive research, it is about knowing figure results from epidermis derivation, which is trichome of poaceae family through simple preparation and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) method. While, phase II is development research using Learning Cycle 3E model, which is development from qualitative descriptive research result to be wallchart media of plant tissue. Data collection method in this research conducted by using observation and documentation method, while data analysis using qualitative descriptive technique. The research result shows that sugarcane leaf - through SEM method – obtained trichome type of non glandular trichome simple hair with length of trichome is 833 μm and diameter 81.2 μm; wild cane leaf has length of trichome 456 μm and diameter 53.2 μm; rice leaf has length of trichome 108 μm and diameter 49.9 μm; elephant grass or napier grass leaf has length of trichome 670 μm and diameter 80.7 μm; corn leaf has length of trichome 884 μm and diameter 31.2 μm; and tall coarse grass has length of trichome 333 μm and diameter 43.4 μm
