  • Laundry liquid waste in addition to harming the environment can also damage the ecosystem of water bodies but there is no solution to deal with the laundry liquid waste, therefore the manufacture of activated charcoal adsorbent for coffee grounds is used to reduce levels of industrial laundry wastes. Reduction of waste levels Focusing on reducing the value of BOD, DO, TSS, E.coli, Turbidity, pH, temperature and odor. This type of research is a true experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD), with 24 liters of laundry liquid waste sapel from Landungsari Village, Malang City using two-way ANOVA data analysis techniques and Duncan follow-up test for parametric analysis and Wilcoxon for nonparametric analysis. The results obtained are differences in the types of activated coffee charcoal used, Arabica and Robusta have a more effective leaning of activated Arabica coffee pulp compared to Robusta active charcoal in the absorption of laundry liquid waste content. According to Duncan and Wilcoxon's further test, active Arabica coffee pulp is more effective than Robusta active charcoal with optimal time variation of 20 minutes. The results of this study can also be used as a source of learning biology.
