Daftar Isi:
- Research on the use of cocoa bean skin (Theobroma cacao L.) fermentation on feed to physiological picture of fat tailed sheep blood was conducted for 2 months from October to December 2017. This research was conducted in Bumiaji Village, Bumiaji Sub-District, Batu City. This study aims to determine the effect of fermented cocoa beans' skin use on physiological picture of fat male sheep's blood that includes erythrocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit. The material used in this research is 15 head of fat male sheep going to age 1.5 years with initial weight ranged between 14 - 20 kg. Sheep are grouped by initial weight to K1 = 14 - 16 kg, K2 = 16 - 18 kg, K3 = 18 - 20 kg. The measured variable is the amount of erythrocytes, hemoglobin level and hematocrit value contained in blood of fat male sheep after being fed cocoa bean fermented feed with different feed for 1 month. This research method used experimental research experimentally and using Randomized Block Design (RAK). The treatments were five levels: P0 = 100% forage, P1 = 75% forage feed + 25% fermented cocoa beans, P2 = 50% forage feed + 50% peel of fermented cocoa beans, P3 = 25% feed forage + 75% skin of fermented cocoa beans, P4 = 100% peel of fermented cocoa beans. The data analysis used is by anova test. If the treatment has a significant effect on the observed change then it will be continued with further testing of duncan. The results of this study indicate that the use of fermented cocoa bean leaf on feeds on blood figure of fat tailed sheep that includes erythrocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit has no significant effect (P> 0.05), where the results of the research show fermented cocoa bean skin on feed to image physiological blood of ram is not significant.
