- Biopellet is a type of solid fuel based on biomass waste, which has a smaller size than briquettes. Pellets made from bagasse waste are by-products of agricultural and industrial waste such as sugar mills. Bagasse pellets are commonly used as heat generators for small-scale settlements or industries. The main ingredient that will be used to make biopelet in this study is biomass from bagasse. variation of adhesive percentage of 10%, 15%, 20% of 1 kg of bagasse weight. From these materials will be processed into biopellets with a diameter of 8 mm with a length of about 1-1.5 cm and a weight of ± 2 grams. This study aims to determine the effect of variant percentage of adhesive on the value of water content, ash content and combustion temperature of bagasse pellet. The method used in this research is True Experimental research because the data needed can only be obtained from an experiment. To determine the value of water content using a bottle of weight, oven, desiccator, analytic. Ash content uses an ignition cup, furnace, desiccator, analytic scale. The combustion temperature uses a thermometer and stopwatch. The results of water content analysis with adhesive mixture 10%, 15%, 20% are (8,230; 9,214; 14,927), ash content with values (3,366; 3,102; 3,163), and combustion temperature with three different treatments can be seen in Table 4.4, 4.5 , 4.6.
