  • Full day school is applied in order to develop the most important quality of education, besides that it is one of the efforts to foster students' faith and morals and instill positive values. In fact the character of students is not formed by itself, but must go through a long process and time. Strengthening character education needs to be done to shape the character of students who have morals and morals so that the expectations of educators can be achieved in accordance with the goals of education. This research was conducted to find out how the implementation of full day school that is oriented towards strengthening character education (PPK) has been carried out by SDN Tlogomas 1 Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The subjects of this study were the principal, school committee, teacher and students at Tlogomas 1 Elementary School in Malang. This study aims to find out: (1) the implementation of full day school oriented to strengthening character education (PPK) at SDN Tlogomas 1 Malang; (2) supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of full day school oriented to strengthening character education (PPK) at SDN Tlogomas 1 Malang; (3) the solution given in the implementation of full day school oriented to strengthening character education (PPK) at Tlogomas 1 Elementary School in Malang. At the data collection stage, the author uses methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was carried out with the planning stage, data collection stage and completion stage. This research was conducted in September 2018. The results of this study indicate: (1) The implementation of full day school at SDN Tlogomas 1 Malang was carried out from 06:45 to 15:00 WIB. Strengthening character education is carried out through school culture, namely routine activities, spontaneous activities and using character building methods. (2) There are several supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of full day school oriented to strengthening character education (PPK) at Tlogomas 1 Elementary School in Malang. (3) The solution to overcome the existing inhibiting factors is by contacting the teacher at the madrasah school so that the school's learning hours are carried out more late in the afternoon, so that students can rest after school
