Daftar Isi:
- Coffee skin waste is one of the growing agricultural problems. Coffee waste is difficult to decipher in the environment so that it will cause soil contamination. To overcome these problems can be done by fermentation to change the complex molecules that can not be described by the environment. The result of fermentation of coffee pulp waste can produce biogas and sludge produced can be used as animal feed. This research was done by fermentation of coffee pulp waste which was done using a randomized block design consisting of 2 factors: slurry concentration as starter and fermentation time. The parameters observed in this study were bacterial growth profile and alakalinity values that were formed during the fermentation process. The results showed that fermentation of coffee pulp waste with different slurry concentrations showed differences. The longer the fermentation process takes place then the number of bacteria produced will be more and more. The highest number of bacteria can be find in P0.4 treatment with 0% slurry concentration and 8 weeks of fermentation time of 73 x 107 cfu / ml. While the value of alkalinity did not show any significant difference for the given slurry concentration difference. The longer the fermentation time of the higher alkalinity is formed. The highest alkalinity value at week 8 is 80 mg / l.
