  • This research is conducted to know whether the TPR method can improve studentsÂ’ vocabulary mastery or not. To achieve this purpose, the researcher used classroom action research as the design. The instrumens used to collect the data were observation, test, and questionnaire. The observation was done in order to obtain the data about studentsÂ’ activities during teaching and learning process. The test was used to know the studentsÂ’ ability in vocabulary mastery. The questionnaire was used to collect the information from the English teacher about the activities during the teaching and learning process using TPR method. Based on the result of the observation and the result of pre-test and post-test, it can be concluded that TPR method can improve students vocabulary mastery. In pre-test students got 62.95, in cycle 1 they got 71.37 and in cycle 2 they got 85.23. Therefore, from the significant improvement score from pre-test untill cycle 2, it can be seen that teaching English vocabulary by using TPR method can improve studentsÂ’ vocabulary mastery. Therefore, Based on the findings of this research, suggestions can be given to the teacher, the students and other researchers. In order to be useful for improving studentsÂ’ vocabulary mastery.
