  • The purpose of this research is to find out the customer appraisal for SMS Banking in support transaction banking and to know the steps in increasing SMS Banking service which are done by bank. The data collections of this research are elicited from interview, questionnaire, and literature. Meanwhile, this research used descriptive qualitative research design. Descriptive qualitative is a method which is used to describe and inform the condition of the object in its natural setting. The result of this research shows that customer appraisal for SMS Banking Bank Jatim at PT. Bank of Jatim Branch Malang has been done in a good way. After analyzing the data, the customer appraisal is derived from the aspect of completeness of SMS Banking facility by 70%, aspect of SMS Banking flexibility by 45%, aspect of SMS Banking cost by 63%, and aspect of security and assurance by 59%. Then, steps apply by bank to increase SMS Banking service are promotion and development support towards customer.
