- Development of Information Technology has influenced all aspects of life. Use of technology by some companies aim to increase employee efficiency. Because the working efficiency to support the success of an institution. Malang Government has been using information technology in the front office, but on employee data management systems still use manual system, especially in attendance and payroll system. In the absences of employees still use filing system and a signature presence. While on its payroll system, the personnel still perform manual calculations, including calculation of employee absenteeism and employee income accounts in a month. In addressing the problem required a new system to improve the system used today. The design of this application program includes several modules, among other applications absenteeism and payroll applications. In the application absenteeism, implemented the use of bar codes (barcodes) on employee identity card that can be used as a medium absenteeism presence with barcode readers that barcode reader. Making these applications using Java and MySQL as its database. Results from the making of this application is the employee attendance system with barcode reader and medium in the process of automating the calculation of employee payroll. The system will run in client server, where server is the place where all data is processed into an information that can be used by he client.
