However, in reality discipline behaviors exhibited by employees when the work is still difficult to implement, including the Labor Department's office of Bengkulu city. It is said that because such employee behavior shown come, go home and rest does not fit with time, often talking among fellow employees during working hours and often out of the office during working hours took place. Basically a lot of factors that influence the behavior of low labor discipline, one of which is the occurrence of work stress. The purpose of this research is to understand further the relationship with job stress on employee discipline Manpower Department of Bengkulu City. This study used non-experimental design with type explanatif which in this study the researchers wanted to prove the theories that have been there or want to test the hypothesis that there is. The subject of this research are employees of the Department of Labor as many as 50 people of Bengkulu City. Research subjects taken using total sampling technique. Methods of data collection is done by using (I) scale of job stress and (2) the scale of work discipline. Test the validity of using the product moment technique and reliability test using Alpha. Data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation test From the analysis, the correlation coefficient r = -0.598 at P &lt;0.010 (P = 0.000) which means there is a very significant negative relationship between job stress with work discipline, the hypothesis in this study received. And has a r2 = 0.358 which means that job stress contributed 35.8% (r2x100%) against the discipline of work, while the remainder are caused by other variables not studied. It can be concluded that there is a very significant negative relationship between job stress with work discipline.
