Group) extracurricular in SMAN 1 Cilegon, description of scientific attitude on
students of KIR members in biology learning process and its contribution
towards scientific attitude in biology learning process at the SMAN 1 Cilegon
(in descriptive). This descriptive qualitative research used correlation research
design. The independent variable was KIR extracurricular and the dependent
variable was scientific attitude in biology learning process. Moreover, the
population in this research were all students that join KIR extracurricular at
SMAN 1 Cilegon during 2014-2015 period. The sample were active members
of KIR extracurricular at SMAN 1 Cilegon during 2014-2015 period. The
sample were taken by using saturated techniques sampling. The researcher
used questionnaire to collect the data of KIR activities and scientific attitude;
interviewing chair of KIR; KIR advisor, and biology teachers; and also took
some photos of the KIR activities. Analysis of simple regression value was
0.15. In conclusion that the quality of KIR extracurricular at SMAN 1 Cilegon
was 55.23% that can be categorized as fair enough, the average of scientific
attitude in biology learning process was 73.49% and there is no contribution of
KIR extracurricular towards student’s scientific attitude in biology learning
process even the result is 15%, it isn’t too significant based on significance
