  • This study aims to determine the effect of the work environment and Islamic work ethic on performance at PT Bank Mandiri Syariah Serang branch. This study uses Non Probability Sampling with saturated side methods. The sample in this study consisted of 40 respondents. The technique of collecting data uses a questionnaire with the pursuit of the Likert scale. The method of data collection uses the questionnaire method which is then analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis with pasrial test (t test) and simultaneous test (F) with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The independent variable in this study is the work environment and Islamic work ethic, while the variable related is employee performance. In the results of the IBM SPSS Statistics 20 the results of this study indicate that the results of multiple linear tests obtained the regression equation as follows Y = 0.655 + 0.518 x1 + 0.170 x2 + e the results state that the work environment variable (X1) has an effect of 0.518 on employee performance ( Y) while the Islamic work ethic variable (X2) has an influence of 0.170 on employee performance (Y). From the results of the t test the value of the work environment variable is 4,190 and the Islamic work ethic variable is 1,590 with the value of t table (N = 40) of 2,026, so that the work environment variable (X1) can have a significant effect on the satisfaction variable employee performance (Y), and Islamic work ethic (X2) do not have a significant effect on employee performance variables (Y). F test results F value of 13,832 this result is greater than Ftable of 3.25, so it can be concluded that simultaneous work environment variables (X1) and Islamic work ethic (X2) have a significant influence on employee performance variables (Y). Then the coefficient of determination (R square) shows that the work environment and Islamic work ethic have an influence on employee performance by 42.0%, while the remaining 58.0% is influenced by osther variables unknown and not included in this study.
