- This research aims to analyze the influence of work environment and compensation on employee’s performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable in PT. Linde Indonesia. In this research there are four variables, Work Environment (X1), Compensation (X2), Employee Performance (Y), and Job Satisfaction (Z). This research involved all employees at PT. Linde Indonesia as a sample of 60 employees. To get an accurate results, in this research used interviews, and questionnaires. This research uses validity and reliability test, data analysis, test instruments, classical test, t test, road variable analysis, and sobel test by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 20 version. The results of this research indicate that: (1) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (2) Compensation does not effect employee performance. (3) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (4) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (6) Job satisfaction as an intervening variable cannot mediate the influence of the work environment on employee performance. (7) Job satisfaction as an intervening variable can mediate the effect of compensation on employee performance.
