  • Teaching material was one of the important parts and included factors that determined the success of the learning process. It related to teaching objectives achievement. This research aimmed to develop a pocket book of Archaebacteria and Eubacteria in high school for 10th grade and determined feasibility of Archaebacteria and Eubacteria pocket books as teaching materials. The applied method was a method of research and development. The study was conducted from August to September 2014 at University of Sultan Agung Tirtayasa, SMAN 1 Serang , SMAN 2 Serang, SMAN 5 Serang, MAN 2 Serang , and SMAN 11 Tangerang regency. Likert scale was applied as data processing. The study was divided into several stages, such as problem analysis, information collecting with developing initial product, expert validation, revision, limited scale product testing, evaluation and reporting. The product development of teaching materials result in the form of printed teaching materials pocket book entitled "Buku Dunia Mikroskopis Archaebacteria Eubacteria". It was adapted to Curriculum 2013 with strengthening spiritual attitude, social attitudes, skills, and knowledge. The feasibility as teaching materials had a value about 81, 14% to intense decent category and students' initial response to interest of pocket book was around 81, 34% strongly agree category. Based on the research results, Archaebacteria and Eubacteria pocket books were very decent as Biology teaching materials in high school for 10th grade and it was accordance with Curriculum 2013.
