- The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of Outdoor Learning to concept student is concept understanding and activity on subconcept of the water pollution at SMPN 1 Sukadiri. The method used was quasi experimental with randomized control group only design. The study population were all VIIth grade students of SMPN 1 Sukadiri 2014/2015 with the sample of class VIIth 4 as the experimental class and VIIth 5 as control class taken by simple randomized sampling technique. Students concept understanding for experimental class had value 70,4 included to fair category and control class had value 69,5 included to fair category. Student’s activity for experimental class had value 71,8 included to good category and control class had value 65,2 included to fair category. Based on t-test showed that Outdoor Learning not influenced the student’s concept understanding, with t value (0,270) < t table (1.67252), but Outdoor Learning influenced the student’s activity, with t value (3,238) > t table (1.67252).
