- Potential biogas from water hyacinth raw materials is very large, but the ignorance of the community lead to unexplored maximum. This study aims to conduct a comparative study anatara effective microorganisms 4 starter, starter starter cow dung and goat manure. Water hyacinth and water along with starter put in a digester to fermentation for 30 days, the gas produced accommodated in shelters. Along with the process of fermentation, and then do the data collection of temperature, pressure, and gas mass to be further analysis process. Biogas is produced and brought to Bantar Gebang, Bekasi for its biogas composition tested. The result digester with a starter of goat manure into a digester that produces biogas at most, as many as 14gr, while the content of CH4 highest in the digester with a starter of cow dung by 39.2%, and the digester with starter effective microorganisms 4 producing biogas for 9gr with the percentage of CH4 26%. However, it can be seen the addition of effective microorganisms 4 can accelerate the formation of biogas, this is shown by the graph showing the pressure pressure to form on day 2
