  • The aim of this research was to examine the effect of turmeric (Curcuma domestica) and papaya leaf (Carica papaya) on decreasing total fat content of guail egg layer (Coturnix-coturnix japonica). Twenty four guails layer 16 weeks old were divided into four groups. First without turmeric and papaya leaf powder (PO), second with turmeric powder 0.696 (P1), third with papaya leaf powder 0.2556 (P2), and fourth combination between turmeric powder 0.64 and papaya leaf powder 0.256 (P3). It used completely randomized design with four treatments and six replications. Collection of eggs was done every day in one week and at the end of week the egg were examined for total fat by using soxhlet method and data analized with Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) and then continued with Duncan's multiple range test. In conclusion, adding of turmeric powder 0.64 (P1) and papaya leaf powder 0.254 (P2) showed significant difference (px0.05) on decreasing total fat content of guail egg.
