The specific objectives are proposed: enhance the training and knowledge of a professional area ; provide opportunity for discussion and positioning as the theoretical and practical aspects of the field of Library and Information Science ; complement current approaches and relevant content of Science information; equip concepts of Library and information Science as research tools . The profile theme addressed by the Group in 2010 was based on the discussion of [ 1 ] Concepts of Information Science , [ 2 ] Mission of professional librarian, [ 3 ] Professional Ethics Librarian , [ 4 ] Copyright and Access to Information, [ 5 ] digital Library , [ 6 ] institutional Repositories , and [ 7 ] school library . The methodology adopted involves working two fronts : the presentation and discussion of the themes , both developed by the group members themselves in online environments . The activity starts from the development of a thematic seminar , which is made available to the group remotely . From the previous reading of texts and indicated by the presentation of the seminar , they develop discussion boards . For the development of the activities use up the Twitcam , Moodle , Twitter and Facebook tools. As a result we observe the interaction between the scientific community and communities of practice , both with regard to relevant considerations for the different profiles ; community interest in the reoffer given the possibility of discussions of issues that present tonic activity in the area ; discussions interdisciplinary approach , use of current information and communication tools available on the internet ; reach goal as the provision of continuing professional qualification
