The specific objectives are proposed: enhance the training and knowledge of a professional area ; provide opportunity for discussion and positioning as the theoretical and practical aspects of the field of Library and Information Science ; complement current approaches and relevant content of Science information; equip concepts of Library and information Science as research tools . The profile theme addressed by the Group in 2010 was based on the discussion of [ 1 ] Concepts of Information Science , [ 2 ] Mission of professional librarian, [ 3 ] Professional Ethics Librarian , [ 4 ] Copyright and Access to Information, [ 5 ] digital Library , [ 6 ] institutional Repositories , and [ 7 ] school library . For the year 2011 it was decided to discuss patterns of representation in digital environments , specifically ruled in [ 1 ] Metadata , [ 2 ] Structure standards of general and specific descriptive metadata , [ 3 ] Standards for representing content [ 4 ] markup languages &#x200B;&#x200B;, and [ 5 ] Data from authority. The methodology adopted involves working two fronts : the presentation and discussion of the themes , both developed by the group members themselves in online environments . The activity starts from the development of a thematic seminar , which is made available to the group remotely . From the previous reading of texts and indicated by the presentation of the seminar , they develop discussion boards . For the development of the activities use up the Twitcam , Moodle , Twitter and Facebook tools.
