- ABSTRAK An experiment was designed to determine the effect of vitamin E and B-mercaptoetanol (B-ME) on embryo development of ongole cross-breed cattle in vitro. Ovaries were obtained from slaughterhouse and transported to laboratory at 35°C in 0.9% NaCl containing 100IU/ ml Penicillin G and 0.1 mg/ml streptomycine sulfate (0.1 mg/ml) within 3 hours. Oocytes were aspirated from 2-6 mm diameter follicles. Only oocytes with intact cumulus and evenly granulated cytoplasma were selected for the treatments. Oocytes were divided into four groups of maturation medium treatments: a) maturation medium (MM) (control)
