- This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of think talk write type viewed by student’s mathematial representation ability. The research design which was used was one shot case study. The population of this research was all of students of grade VIII of state Junior High School 1 Gadingrejo in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this research was students of VIII.5 class that was chosen by purposive sampling technique. Based on the result and discussion of the research, it concluded that cooperative learning model of think talk write type was not effective viewed by student’s mathematical representation ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-shot case study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.5 yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh simpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pembelajaran tipe TTW, representasi matematis
