PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS DAN SELF-CONFIDENCE

- This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the increasing of mathematical reasoning skills and self confidence of students who though by contextual learning compared to conventional learning. The design which was used was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Natar South Lampung in the academic year of 2015/2016 and the samples of this research were students of VII-H and VII-I class that were determined by purposive sampling. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the implementation of contextual learning model could increase student's mathematical reasoning skills, but it could not increase student's self confidence. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis dan self-confidence siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kontekstual dibandingkan konvensional. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-H dan VII-I yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan self-confidence siswa.
