  • Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis kemampuan penalaran adaptif siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan saintifik pada siswa di kelas VIII B Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 3 Pontianak tahun pelajaran 2016-2017 dalam materi lingkaran. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 33 siswa. Alat pengumpul data terdiri dari soal Pre-test, soal Post-Test dan pedoman wawancara yang berkaitan dengan penalaran adaptif siswa. Dari hasil analisis data Pre-Test dan Post-Test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan penalaran adaptif yang signifikan setelah diterapkannya model Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan saintifik, dan peningkatannya berkatagori sedang. Kata Kunci: Penerapan model Problem Based Learning, Pendekatan Saintifik, dan Penalaran adaptif Abstract: This research is aimed to find out and analyze the students' adaptive reasoning abilities before and after the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with scientific approach to students in grade VIII B SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak in Academic Year 2016-2017 on circle material. Research subjects were 33 students. The data collection tool consists of the Pre-test, Post-Test questions and interview guidelines relating to students' adaptive reasoning. From the analysis of Pre-Test and Post-Test data showed that there was a significant increase of adaptive reasoning after the application of Problem Based Learning model with scientific approach, and the improvement was medium level catagory. .
