The purpose of this study were (1) To understand the teacher’s and students’ comprehension process in AL-Muayyad Surakarta Senior High School about their multicultural education in the year 2013/2014, (2) To understand the students’ comprehension process about multicultural education in AL-Muayyad Suratkarta Senior High School in the year 2013/2014 (3) To understand the implementation of multicultural education in the Al-Muayyad Surakarta Senior High School’s environment in the year 2013/2014. This study was conducted in Al-Muayyad Surakarta Senior High School. The form of this study was qualitative with phenomenological approach. The data obstaed from the teachers, students of Al-Muayyad Surakarta Senior High School, are Muslim Boarding School’s committee of Al-Muayyad Surakarta as comparative variable of multicultural education. The sample was taken by using purposive random sampling technique which was done by considering the truth as the purpose. The data gathering technique were deep interviewing attached to head foundation, head master, teachers, curriculum vice headmaster, student vice headmaster, dormitory committee, and students of Al-Muayyad Senior High School. The data validity used was resources triangulation. The data analysis technique were interactive analysis included data gathering, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The findings showed that (1) The comprehension which was declared by informant as teacher and students about multicultural education was very vary especially for the teachers which were match with their subject, (2) Based on the percentage of students’ mastering level of multicultural material in subject PPKN, Sociology, and Aswaja can be concluded that students were in the category of good mastering material, therefore the implementation of multicultural education had reached the target proposed by the teachers, (3) The value arediscipline, religious, work hard, creative, honest, and specifically in multiculturalism such as democratic, tolerant, and social care in the implementation of multicultural education in AL-Muayyad Senior High School Surakarta can be found in the subject of PPKN, Sociology, and Aswaja, (4) In the environment of Muslim boarding school, habit ware an appropriate way to implement multicultural education in students’ daily activities. Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Sebelas Maret University. April 2014. This research aims to improve students of X 4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramat Karanganyar learning achievement by the implementation of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) technique in cooperative learning model. This research is a Class Action Research (CAR) which is conducted in two cycles, with every cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of this research is the students of X 4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramat Karanganyar academic year 2013/2014. The data was taken from the teacher and the students. The techniques of collecting data are observation, test, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data use content validity, triangulation technique and expert opinion. The analysis of the data use descriptive analysis and critical technique. The result of the research shows that the implementation of Two Tray Two Stray (TSTS) technique in cooperative learning model can improve students’ learning achievement. The results showed that the application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) can improve student achievement start from pre-cycle to the first cycle, and from cycle I to cycle II. This is shown by the increased percentage of student activity that is the aspect of asking, answering, and argues that in the first cycle 77,77 % to 80,55 % in the second cycle, the aspects of student interaction within the group of 80,55 % in the first cycle and 83,33 % in the second cycle. The average value students in each cycle also increased , the pre-cycle average value of 64 increased to 74,58 in the first cycle and increased to 82,75 in the second cycle. The conclusions of this research is the application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) can improve student achievement class X 4 SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. Makna Tradisi “Dekahan”Bagi Masyarakat Desa Pakel (Studi Fenomenologi Tentang Alasan Masyarakat Melestarikan Tradisi Dekahan Dan Perilaku Sosial Yang Ada Didalamnya Pada Masyarakat Desa Pakel, Kecamatan Andong, Kabupaten Boyolali). Skripsi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret. April 2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna tradisi Dekahan, serta alasan dan perilaku sosial yang ada dalam tradisi Dekahan di Desa Pakel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari studi pustaka, peristiwa atau aktivitas, tempat/lokasi dan informan. Teknik pengambilan cuplikan dengan Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam (in deep interview), observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data dengan triangulasi data (sumber) dan metode. Teknik analisis menggunakan model analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa, (1) Masyarakat memiliki pemaknaan sama terhadap tradisi Dekahan yaitu sebagai ungkapan syukur terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas berkah, keselamatan dan ketentraman seluruh warga desa dari mara bahaya. Selain itu sebagai tempat untuk berkumpul antar sesama warga desa . (2) Alasan masyarakat masih melestarikan tradisi Dekahan yaitu untuk menjaga tradisi dan kebudayaan lokal sehingga tidak hilang, selain itu karena kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap mitos yang masih kuat tentang adanya dhanyang desa yang akan marah jika tidak dilakukan tradisi Dekahan. (3) Adapun perilaku sosial yang terdapat dalam tradisi Dekahan yaitu perilaku bersedekah, saling menghormati, menjaga kerukunan, dan menunjukkan eksistensi diri. Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret Surakarta University. Juny 2014. The purpose of this study are the improvement of teaching sociology to increase learning achievement of student of sociology in XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar of 2013/2014 academic year through the implementation of cooperative learning type of Quick on the draw. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycles consists of 4 steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. A subject of this research is student of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar consist of 37 students. The colleting data used observation, interview, test and documentation method. Data analysis technique is use three components, they are data reduction, data presentation, and get the conclusions. Result of the research show that through the implementasi of ccoperative learning model of quick on the draw could improve student learning outcomes from pre-action to cycle 1 and from cycle I to cycle 2. It can be seen by an increase in the average grade at pre-actoin of 68,41 mincrease in cycle 1 to 74,38. In the second cycle the average increase from 74,38 or 70,28% to 78,05 or 78,38% of the total number of students is 37 students. The conclusions of the research is implementasi of cooperative learning type of quick on the draw could to increase student achievement in sociology learning class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar of 2013/2014 academic year.
