- It has a close relationship between law and economy because both will mutually influence one another. Law and economy development constitute two independent variables in developing a nation. Indonesia as a developing country is not similar with other developed countries in the steps of developing each country. Indonesia expects to reach the three steps of development (unification, industrialization, and social welfare) simultaneously. It, of course, needs a law which can create a stability, predictability, and fairness, as being supported by democratic and political atmosphere in line with the goal expected. This paper will discuss how the role of law in the development of economy in the reformation era.
