- The conflict between the Republic of Indonesia and Aceh Freedom Movement has consumed plenty of time, not to mention the victims themselves. To cease this conflict, Indonesian government met Aceh Freedom Movement in Finland. At the end of this meeting, both parties agreed to cease the conflict and they signed a Peace Memorandum of Understanding. The controversy of this issue appeared whether this agreement would bring Aceh Freedom Movement to set up a new state separated from Indonesia or it would unite into Indonesia.
