- The aim of this research is to find out whether using Story Map Strategy can improvestudents’ reading comprehension skill. This research took place at SMP Negeri 3 Palu andemployed quasi-experimental research design. The research samples were VIII C as theexperimental group and VIII F as the control group. They were selected using clustersampling technique. The instruments of data collection were tests. They were pretest andposttest. Based on the data analysis of the test, it was found that t-counted value of 8.48 washigher than the t-table 1.670. It means, the hypothesis was accepted. In conclusion, Using StoryMap Strategy can improve reading comprehenshion Skill of grade eight students at SMPNegeri 3 Palu.Keywords: Improving, Reading Comprehension, and Story Map Strategy.
