- A data acquisition is a method to collect information about a system. Instruments that can be considered as data acquisitions include oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and data logger. Although the instruments have different functions, they have the same building blocks. It will be practical if they are integrated to be a multifunction data acquisition. The multifunction data acquisition, based on a PC, has been developed. It consists of data acquisition circuits for collecting the data and software for managing operational mode, presenting and documenting data. Results show that the multifunction data acquisition works well for all functions with graphical and numerical presentation capabilities.
