- ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya angka kematian ibu sehabis melahirkan yang disebabkan oleh perdarahan. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi perdarahan itu dengan cara melakukan pijat oksitosin. Pijatan ini dapat merangsang hormon oksitosin yang menyebabkan kontraksi uterus sehingga proses involusi bisa berjalan normal.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pijat oksitosin pada ibu post partum yang dipijat oksitosin dan yang tidak dipijat oksitosin.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain post test only. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil melalui cara purposive sampling. Sampel berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri dari 15 orang sebagai responden yang di intervensi dan 15 orang sebagai variabel kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi untuk mengamati penurunan tinggi fundus uterus pada hari pertama post partum. Hasil dari penelitian ini teridentifikasi pengaruh oksitosin terhadap involusi uterus pada ibu post partum di Ruang Post Partum Kelas III RSHS Bandung, melalui uji statistik Chi-square dengan nilai p < 0.05. Saran buat institusi tempat penelitian, diharapkan diadakan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pijat oksitosin kepada para perawat dan bidan, dan juga tindakan pijat oksitosin ini dijadikan sebagai prosedur pelayanan tetap pada ibu melahirkan. Kata kunci : Perdarahan, Pijat oksitosin, Involusi uterus. ABSTRACT The research is motivated by the increasing number of maternal deaths after childbirth due to hemorrhage. One way to control bleeding is doing oxytocin massage to stimulate hormone oxytocin which causes uterine contractions in order to get involution process normally. The research to identification the influence of oxytocin on uterine involution in postpartum on interventing respondents and controlling respondents The research method used in this study is quasi experimental with post test only design. The Samples was taken by using purposive sampling. The amounts of samples are 30 people which consist of 15 people as intervened respondents and 15 others as control variables. The instrument used in this research is observation sheet which used to observe the reduction level of uterine fundus on first day post partum.The results of this research identified the influence of oxytocin on uterine involution in postpartum mothers in the postpartum room Class III RSHS Bandung, by Chi-square test statistic comes with p Value < 0.05. The suggestions for the institutions where the research taking place are to educate and socialize the oxytocin massage for nurses and midwives. Moreover, the institution should apply the oxytocin massage as standard procedures for giving birth. Keywords : hemorrhaging, oxytocin massage, uterus involution
