- This paper describes the performance comparison of various passive LED driver circuits employed for street light applications. Passive driver is simple in construction, low cost, maintenance and control free. The most predominant parameters such as efficiency, total harmonic distortion and input power factor are compared. 50 W LED driver circuit is identified for performance comparison and simulations are performed in matlab- Simulink to get an overview of passive LED driver.
