PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES GARDNER TERHADAP MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA

  • AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD akibat penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis multiple intelligences Gardner. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan rancangan Posttest-only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri di Gugus V Abiansemal yang berjumlah 138 orang siswa dengan 45 orang siswa sebagai sampel. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner minat dan tes hasil belajar IPA. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan minat belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis multiple intelligences Gardner dengan siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri di Gugus V Abiansemal (F = 8,94; p < 0,05), (2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis multiple intelligences Gardner dengan siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri di Gugus V Abiansemal (F = 38,68; p < 0,05), (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan minat dan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis multiple intelligences Gardner dengan siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri di Gugus V Abiansemal (F = 24,396; p < 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disarankan untuk menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis multiple intelligences Gardner di sekolah dasar. This research was designed in the form of quasi experimental research using Posttest-only control group design. Population in this research is Grade V Students of Elemetary School in Cluster V Abiansemal, which consist of 138 students with 45 students as sample. The data of this research were collected using interest questionnaires and science study result test. Data were analyzed using MANOVA statistic test. The results shown that: (1) There is a significant differences of learning interest in science between students who followed a contextual learning approach based on Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences with students following the conventional approach in Grade V Elementary School Students in Cluster V Abiansemal (F = 8,94; p <0,05), (2) There is a significant differences of outcomes from science subject between students who follow contextual learning approach based on Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences with students following the conventional approach in Grade V Elementary School Students in Abiansemal (F = 38,68; P <0.05), (3) There is a significant differences of interest and learning outcomes between students following a contextual learning approach based on Gardners’s Multiple Intelligences with students following a conventional approach to Grade V Elementary School Students in Cluster V Abiansemal (F = 24,396; p <0.05). Based on these results it is advisable to apply a contextual learning approach based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligences in primary school.
