- AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA melalui penerapan mind mapping berbantuan media gambar pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Baha tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Rancangan setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan atau observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Baha yang berjumlah 22 siswa yang terdiri dari 16 laki-laki dan 6 siswa perempuan. Data mengenai motivasi belajar dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner dan data hasil belajar IPA dikumpulkan dengan metode tes bentuk essay. Data motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata persentase motivasi belajar siswa dari 72% pada siklus I dengan kriteria sedang menjadi 84,09% pada siklus II dengan kriteria tinggi. Untuk hasil belajar IPA pada siklus I sebesar 72,04% dengan kriteria sedang, menjadi 82,50% dengan kriteria tinggi pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan mind mapping berbantuan media gambar pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Baha.Kata kunci: mind mapping, media gambar, motivasi, dan hasil belajar IPA. AbstractThis research was aimed to improve the students motivation and learning outcomes of natural science by using the application of mind mapping assited by image property to the fifth grade students of 2 Baha Elementary School in school year of 2016/2017. The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR) that implemented into two cycles while each cycles was divided into three times of meeting. Each cycles formed by four steps, there were planning, implementing (action), observationing, and reflecting. The subject of this study were the fifth grade students of 2 Baha Elementary School in total of 22 students that consist of 16 male students and 6 female students. The data about learning motivation were collected by using questionnaire and data about natural science learing outcomes was analyzed by using descriptive quantitative analysis method. The result of this research shows the improvement of students learning motivation average percentation from 72% in the first cycle that belongs to medium criteria to 84,09% in second cycle that belongs to high criteria. Learning outcomes of natural science also improved from 72,04% in the first cycle with medium criteria, increased to 82,50% with high criteria in the second cycles. From this result can be concluded that there are improvements of students learning motivation and learning outcomes by using the application of mind mapping assisted by images property to the fifth grade students of 2 Baha Elementary School.Keywords: mind mapping, images property, motivation, learning outcomes of natural science.
